A little village in the south west of the El Condado district, where farmed land, in which olive trees predominate, alternates with pastures and meadows given over to livestock and small game hunting. Olive growing is the main economic activity, and an interesting olive oil processing industry has developed too. The upland area is filled with corners of natural interest, especially those situated located alongside the Guadalén reservoir and the new Giribaile reservoir, the former being well set up for fishing carp. From its historical and artistic heritage we must mention the church of the Inmaculada Concepción, built in 1769 in line with the model implanted in the rest of the colonisation period religious buildings. It has a simple neo-classical façade on top of which there is a graceful single sided belfry formed in two side by side sections. The Torre del Reloj tower, in contrast, was built in the 17th century and is also interesting.
