A village which belongs to the northern district, located right in its centre, next to the Andalusia motorway. There is abundant unfarmed in its municipal area, including meadows filled with pastures and oak trees, Mediterranean scrubland and replanted forests. Agricultural activity is dominated by olive groves and herbaceous crops, with greenhouse activities having developed over the last few years. Economic activity in Guarromán is heavily influenced by its location next to the N-IV and in an area of declining mining, some important motorway services, and industrial and distribution companies in the big Guadiel industrial estate have appeared over the last few years. Outstanding examples of its historical heritage are the parish church of the Inmaculada Concepción, from the end of the 18th century, and the Pósito de Labradores grain store, built in 1789, both constructed in the New populations architectural style.
