Mancha Real, one of the most industrial areas in the province, takes up the whole eastern fringe of the Campiña Sur district, from the foothills of the Sierra Mágina to the south, right up to the river Guadalquivir, in the north. There are areas of forest to the south of the town, going down to the river Guadalquivir where they change into a landscape of olive groves. In Mancha Real there is a clear balance in economic activity, which is divided up between the very well developed olive growing and olive oil production industry, the fast growing wood furniture industry, agricultural implements and machinery and computer manufacturing which, all together, make this town one of the richest and most dynamic in the province. Its parish church of San Juan Evangelista was built in several phases between the 16th and 18th centuries and was declared an Historical Monument in 1983. Its mannerist style main façade is the work of Juan de Aranda Salazar.
