Medium sized Torreblascopedro is situated in the south west of the La Loma y Las Villas district, between the rivers Guadalimar, to the north, and the Guadalquivir, to the south. Nevertheless, due to its closeness to and good communications with Linares, it is heavily influenced by this city, although they both belong to different districts. Traditionally, olive growing has been the local people's main activity, although In the last few years agricultural diversification favouring irrigated crops has taken place, due to the of the fertie nature of the land, located on the Guadalquivir plain. We should also mention the hamlet of Campillo del river, a little outlying part of Torreblascopedro located on the banks of the Guadalquivir which has the highest white asparragus production in the province, pioneered as an alternative crop. And its prime architectural jewel, the modern Bulevar del Ayuntamieto really stands out.
