Tiny Villardompardo is located in la Campiña district. The zone is mainly flat land, with a few more uneven areas, and the village centre is stuck on top of a hillock. The village's economic activity is almost exclusively given over to agriculture, in particular to unirrigated olive growing, which takes up practically the whole surface extension of the municipal area. In the last few years attempts have been made to diversify this activity with the creation of a textile cooperative and several aluminium and wood workshops. Finally, we can point out the village's gypsum quarries as a resource for potencial future use. The most representative piece of architecture in Villardompardo is its castle, declared an Historical Monument, with construction having begun after the Christian conquest of the village in 1245. Its frontage, from the 16th century, contains an interesting coat of arms.
